Hosting a Public Workshop
Cross Cultural Encounters offers two fee options to interested program hosts:

e In-House Workshop and the Public Workshop described as follows:

Option 2:  Co-Sponsored Program with a Public Fee Schedule

Hosting a public workshop is a practical way to offer exceptional continuing education to the maternal/health professionals in your community at a fraction of the cost of the In-house program.  With this option,
no hosting fees are incurred by you or your organization.  All registrations are considered public and Cross Cultural Encounters collects individual registration fees as follows:  $100 early, $125 regular per workshop day.  Early registrations are those which are postmarked at least 6 weeks before the first day of the workshop.  As a special consideration to the hosting institution, a reduced fee of $80 for employees of the sponsoring organization is offered.  One complimentary registration is given to the local coordinator.  As an additional incentive, Cross Cultural Encounters offers complimentary workshop registrations as follows:  one additional complimentary registration (2 total) for 50 registered participants and two additional complimentary registrations (3 total) for 75 or more registrants.  With this program,

Cross Cultural Encounters provides:

*  Six hours of continuing education credit per day
* Certificates of completion and sign-in sheets
* Speaker fees, travel arrangements and travel expenses for one instructor
* Comprehensive participant notebooks and handouts
* Shipment of program materials to workshop site.
* Workshop marketing and promotion via direct mail pieces and listing of the workshop on Cross Cultural
    Encounter's web site
* pre-registration of program attendees and collection of registration fees


Host Provides:

* A local workshop coordinator responsible for coordinating all program details with Cross Cultural
    Encounters
* Workshop site large enough to accommodate 45 participants (more if registration is exceptionally high)
* AV equipment to include power point projector, lap top computer, screen, lavalier microphone, TV and
   VCR, CD player, easel, large newsprint pad/flip chart, assorted color markers, and overhead projector
* Transportation for faculty to and from hotel and workshop is appreciated
* On-site registration and any set up or take down that is necessary
* Help with local promotion, both internally and externally, including the facilitating of mailing lists to Cross
   Cultural Encounters.
