Advanced Perinatal Spanish in Puerto Rico

Individually-designed programs or private classes outside of scheduled courses can be arranged for childbirth professionals who have already achieved a level of proficiency in Spanish and want to perfect their skills or study advanced topics in perinatal care.  Study topics include: * Review of advanced grammatical concepts as they apply to topics in childbirth and women's health.  * Application of grammar to usage through guided conversation and communication within a perinatal context.  *Practice of language skills with native childbirth professionals and expectant moms. * Observation of local OB/GYN clinics and hospital birth settings. * Assigned readings on local healing practices, myths and legends, and personal stories of the people who make up the island of Puerto Rico.
